Donald Anderson

Donald M. Anderson, 82, passed away at his home in Cedar Rapids Jan. 26, 2012. Private family services are at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Iowa Cremation.

He was born in Decorah to Gilbert and Louella (Jastaad) Anderson.

Donald moved to Cedar Rapids in 1955, and went to work for Cedar Rapids INC (Iowa Man). In 1959 Donald met Anita Amling and they married Feb. 27, 1960. Donald enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing cards with family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife, Anita; children: Delbert, Stephen, Jeff and JoAnn Anderson; one brother, Gordon (Marion) Anderson; two sisters, Bev (Carsten) Steen, Franny (Emil) Frana; and five grandchildren.

Donald is preceded in death by parents, one brother and six sisters.
