Mrs. Opstedahl

Funeral services for Mrs. Ansoph Matilda Opstedahl, who passed away at her home at Decorah on Sunday, after being in poor health the past few months, were held at the Lincoln church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The pastor, Rev. M. B. Quill officiated and interment was in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers were Walter, Lawrence and Joe Albertson, Iver Hellen, Vernon and Harlan Fjelstul.

Mrs. Opstedahl, nee Ansoph Matilda Espeseth, the daughter of Ole and Olena Espeseth, was born in Sumner township, near Ridgeway, Feb. 21, 1871. On Nov. 13, 1895 she was united in marriage to Henry Opstedahl who preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1932.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Fjelstul of Ridgeway, Lean and Oral of Decorah, five sisters, Mrs. Ed Albertson and Mrs. Henry Albertson of Ridgeway, Mrs. Olaf Olson and Hannah Espeseth of Bode, Ia., and Mrs. T. I. Day of Mineral Wells, Tex., and one brother, Albert Espeseth of Meskanaw, Sask., Can., and three grandchildren, Vernon, Harlan and Elaine Fjelstul.

Mrs. Opstedahl has lived all her life in Sumner township with the exception of about the last three years when she resided in Decorah.
