Funeral services for Chas. Armstrong, who passed away Wednesday, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of his sister, Miss Hattie Armstrong. Rev. Quill conducted the services and interment was made in the Ridgeway cemetery. Pall bearers were: Elmer Anderson, Herb Yarwood, Albert Bakken, Casper Degro, H. G. Gunhus and Berger Guttormson. Charles Edward Armstrong, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Xenia Armstrong, was born Sept. 3, 1876 at Ridgeway and passed on Sept. 9, 1943, at the home of Herbert Yarwood, where he had made his home for the past few years. He worked at the butcher trade with his father in the local meat market and in later years was in business with his brother, E. P. Armstrong at various places. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters, namely: Eugene, Raymond, Hattie, Mrs. James Farghum of Ridgeway and Mrs. Mabel Kratz of Cresco.
