Services for Alphonse Zweibohmer
Funeral services for Alphonse Zweibohmer, 76, of rural Ossian were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 1997, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian. Rev. Richard Kuhn officiated. Internment was in St. Francis Cemetery with Schmitz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He died at his home Thursday, April 3, 1997.
Alphonse H. Zweibohmer was born September 12, 1920, in rural Ossian, the son of Henry H. and Margaret (Moellers) Zweibohmer. Alphonse was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis de Sales Church and attended De Sales School.
He farmed with his twin brother south of Ossian.
Alphonse was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, De Sales Rosary Society, and the Winneshiek County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include one brother, Gustave Zweibohmer of Decorah; four sisters, Marie Bullerman of Alta Vista; Josephine Bullerman of Calmar; Helen Freidhof of New Hampton; and Rita Timp of Fort Atkinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, his twin, Aloysius, Hugo, Felix and Hubert; and one sister, Elizabeth Rust.
