Death Miss Bertena Sorenson

Miss Bertena Sorenson passed away last Saturday, January 25 at 2:30 a.m. at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson,in Canoe township, her death being due to diabetes. The deceased was born in Norway 39 years ago and came to this country when 10 years old. For the past 13 years she has resided in North Dakota coming back to Winneshiek last fall. She was a young woman beloved by everyone who knew her and her death brings sorrow to all.

The funeral services were held yesterday, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Springwater church. Rev O. Glesne of the United Lutheran Church of Decorah officiated.
