Darlene Foltz age, 58 of Decorah died Friday August 1, 2008 at her home of natural causes.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday August 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, Iowa. By Rev. Matt Larson burial of ashes will be in the Hesper Cemetery in Hesper, Iowa at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 Friday at Schluter Balik Funeral home in Decorah and after 10:00 Saturday Darlene Lorraine Foltz was born March 8, 1950 in Decorah, Iowa, to Keith and Rosella (Smith) Foltz. Darlene graduated from North Winneshiek High School in 1968. She lived and worked in Springfield, Missouri for several years. She returned to Decorah and worked at Wapsi Produce, Café Deluxe, The Oaks and at Mabe’s Pizza. Darlene enjoyed playing cards, gambling, fishing, cooking, traveling and her dog, Kipper.

Survivors are her father: Keith Foltz of Burr Oak, IA. Two sisters: Diane (Harlan) Palmer of Decorah, IA and Della (Kevin) Whalen of Canton, MN. One brother: Robert Foltz of Decorah, IA. Five nieces and nephews: Missy (Will) Manheart, Michelle Palmer and David Palmer; Richard Hollenbeck and Rusty (Gina) Whalen. One great niece and nephew: Keneddy and Kaeson Manheart.

Darlene was preceded in death by her mother: Rosella “Rosie” Foltz on March 26, 2006.
