Audrey was born July 11, 1916 in Winneshiek County, IA to Peter & Inez (Bacon) Milne. She attended grade school in Prosper, MN and graduated from High School in Mabel, MN in 1933. In 1935, Audrey was joined in marriage to Phil Ford. They resided in Mabel until 1957 when they moved to Emmetsburg, IA to open an A&W Drive-In Restaurant which they operated until 1967. They moved to Marshalltown where she was still residing at the time of her death.

Audrey passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Grandview Care Facility in Marshalltown, IA at the age of 91.

She will be greatly missed by sons Richard (Judy) of Boulder City, NV, Michael (Pam) of Marshalltown, IA & daughter Suzanne (Gary) Campbell of Pueblo, CO, eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandsons.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, her parents & three brothers.

She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, Superintendent of Mabel Sunday School & Worthy Matron of Canton Eastern Star. After moving to Marshalltown she was a baker at Lenihan Jr. High.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Mabel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeanne Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Prosper Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 – 9 PM Friday, Feb. 8 at the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel and one hour prior to services at the church.
