Loretta M. Owens, 80, of Marion, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Funeral service is 12 noon, Friday, Feb. 4, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial is at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.

Loretta was born May 1, 1930, in Decorah, the daughter of Frank P. and Grace (Malli) Willson. She married Leo Broghammer, who died in 1973. She then married Patrick Owens. She retired from Rockwell Collins. Loretta was a devoted mother. She loved to laugh, dance and get together with friends.

Survivors include her husband, Pat; two children, Daniel (Brenda) Broghammer of Davenport, and Becky (Ron) Roberts of Ariz.; five grandchildren: Joshua Broghammer, Anne Ironside, John Broghammer, Ron Roberts and Michelle Almond; five great-grandchildren: Jack, Max, Brogan, Harley and Elizabeth; siblings, Charles (Darlene) WIllson, James (Marlyn) Willson and Margaret Graves; and a half-sister, Anne (Harold) Aschim. She was preceded in death by her first husband, and her parents.
