Ida Sophia Borseth, 52, of Springfield township, died Thursday, June 1, after being ill with pnemonia for eleven days.

Funeral services were held on Monday at the Winneshiek Cooperative Burial association and at First Lutheran Church, Rev T. A. Hoff officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alex Dahlen, Arthur Stevens, Arthur Evenrud, Arthur Severson, Henry Nerlie, and Roy Smith.

Ida Sophia Erikson was born in Glenwood township sept. 28, 1891, the daughter of Edward, deceased 1928, and Sarah A Erickson, living. She moved to her home in Springfield township; five miles from Decorah, in 1918. On Feb. 13, 1918, she married Carl E Borseth, who survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Borseth were the parents of six children, Sadie, Norman, Cliford, Merle, and Stanley, all of Decorah, and Mrs. Melvin (Arla) Brown of Rockford, iowa, who survive. One son Donald Franklin, died in infancy. Also surviving is one sister, Bertina Erickson of Decorah.

Flower girls were Lilian Peterson, Arlene Sweet, Rose Rosendahl, and Vivian Loven.

Relatives who attended from a distance were Mrs. Alta Hanson of Eldorado, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Loven, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Loven, Mr. and Mrs. John Loven, Mr. ans Mrs. Louis Borseth, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Moe, Mr. and Mrs. Selmer Moe, all of Waukon, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer White, Mr. and Mrs. Christianson of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rosvold and Mrs. and Mrs. Emil Borseth of Cresco.
