Cecilia Ann Leuenberger, age 88, of Lawler, Iowa died at home Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Lawler was in charge of arrangements.

Cecilia was born November 2, 1922 in rural Winneshiek County, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Herold) Chipera. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in Fort Atkinson. On February 18, 1946 she married Eugene Leuenberger at the St. John's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson. He died on January 4, 1990.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Huber of Decorah, Iowa and Rebecca (Ron)
Berns of Monona, Iowa; 2 sons, Norbert (Boni) Leuenberger of Westminster, Colorado, and George Leuenberger of Lawler, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, twin great-granddaughters; and 2 brothers, Leonard (Nerissa) Chipera of Waucoma, Iowa and Paul (Lillian) Chipera of Fort Atkinson, Iowa.
