Stanley P. Sollien, age 62, a resident of Grundy, Virginia, formerly of the Spring Grove, Minnesota area, died of a heart attack at his home in Grundy on November 15, 1985. Memorial services are pending for the deceased.

He was born in Spring Grove, Minnesota on March 6, 1923 to Johannes and Dora (Auna) Sollien. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was a construction worker and brick layer in Grundy.

He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Ellswick; 4 children, Casey Sollien of Grundy, Virginia, Scott Sollien of Vansant, Virginia, Sue Haar of Abingdon, Virginia, and Mrs. David (Gladola) Compton of Ocala, Florida; eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren; a brother Andy Sollien of Mabel, Minnesota, and 3 sisters, Cora Malick of Greeley, Colorado, Mrs. Gene (Judy) Mahr of Lime Springs, Iowa, and Mrs. Curtis (Martha) Rude of Decorah, Iowa.
