Otilda C. Iverson, age 94, of Decorah, Iowa died Saturday December 5, 1987 at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church with the Revs. Alden Hovda and John Halvorson officiating. Burial was in the Iowa-River Lutheran Cemetery with Sensor-French Funeral Home of Decorah, Iowa in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Gary, Craig, William, Robert, James, Joseph, Steven, and John Iverson.

Otilda was born November 13, 1893 in South Dakota to Mads and Martha (Bue) Nelson. She attended rural schools in Winneshiek and Allamakee Counties. She married John C. Iverson in 1921. He died in 1932. She had worked at the Decorah, Iowa hospital and in the office of Dr. Jeffries in Waukon, Iowa. She was a member of the Decorah Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Kermit Iverson and Curtis Iverson.

Surviving are a son Milton Iverson of Dorchester, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
