Funeral services were held today for Arnold Henningsgaard, 51, area farmer.

The Rev. T.C. Hiller officiated at the Hesper Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Hesper Lutheran Cemetery.

Henningsgaard was found dead in his farm pasture Monday evening by his wife. He had suffered a heart attack.

Born Sept. 26, 1900, in Winneshiek county, Ia., he had farmed in this area for all but two years, which he spent in Wisconsin. He married Bernice Allen Oct. 16, 1929.

For the past six years he had been a deacon of the Hesper Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Howard at home; his father, Ole, Spring Grove; six brothers and four sisters, Clarence, Milwaukee; Olaf, Inglewood, Calif., Harold South Milwaukee; Leander, Waukon, Ia.; Myron John, Berkely, Calif.; Mrs. William (Ruth) Heuss, Audubon, Ia.; Miss Amanda Henningsgaard, La Crosse,Mrs. Sidney (Gladys) Wiebecker, La Crosse and Mrs. Frank(Viola) Toth, South Milwaukee. His mother died in 1939.
