Mrs. Gilbert R. Tabor, 88, died at her home in San Bernardino, Calif., Tuesday, March 29. Funeral services were conducted there on Friday. Burial was in a cemetery at Inglewood, California.
The former Anna Allen, she was born in England Sept. 15, 1866, the daughter of John and Susan (Darrington) Allen. At the age of 7 years she came to the United States with her parents, settling near Hesper, Ia. For several years she taught school in Winneshiek county, Ia. Following her marriage to Gilbert Tabor, they resided in Hesper where he operated a hardware and implement business. In 1906 they moved to California.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John (Gretchen) Turner and Mrs. A.B. (Mildred) Chubbic, and one son, Milo, all of San Bernardino; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Welch, Mabel, Mrs. Amy Reed, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Fred Johnson, Boulder, Colo.; one brother Tom Allen, Hesper, Ia.
Her husband, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
