The obituary for William Darrington, from the Welch collection;

William Darrington, 64, died suddenly Monday evening at his farm home near Hesper of an apparent heart attack.

He was born May 4, 1907, in Highland Township, Winneshiek County, Ia., the son of Arthur and Minnie (Noecker) Darrington.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Minnie Darrington, of Hesper, and one sister, Mrs. Vernice Richert of Mabel. His father preceded him in death in 1919.

Burial will be in the Hesper public cemetery.
