John Joseph Krivachek
John Krivachek, 70, of Fort Atkinson, died at his home on Dec. 12, 2000.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.
Rev. John Moser officiated. Music was provided by Rita Schmitt, organist, and the St. John's Choir. Lector was Carol Langreck, and Mass Servers were Jason Krivachek, Melanie Krivachek, Tom Langreck and Melissa Krivachek. Gift Bearers included Jesse Krivachek, Elizabeth Moellers, Anthony Moellers and Maxwell Krivachek.
Casket bearers were Mark Krivachek, Charity Langreck, Kenny Langreck, Danny Jangreck, Cindy Noll, Rodney Boyer and Terry Langreck.
Interment was at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
John Joseph Krivachek was born March 16, 1930 in Fort Atkinson, the son of John and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Markovetz) Krivachek.
He attended country schools near Fort Atkinson and then went to work for the Fort Atkinson Nursery.
John Krivachek married Ida Langreck on Oct. 21,1959 in St. Lucas.
He worked as a mechanic at the Rausch Garage in Fort Atkinson, Neil Rausch Garage in Calmar, Paul Kuhn Implement from 1959-1976, and then for Reilly Construction until he retired in 1992. Following retirement he worked for the city of Fort Atkinson, mowing grass for three years.
In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing and hunting, fixing cars, gardening and bird watching. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
Surviving John Krivachek are his wife, Ida Krivachek of Fort Atkinson; two daughters, Lisa Krivachek of Iowa City and Lori and Jason Moellers of West Union; six sons: Gerald and Irene Krivachek of Fort Atkinson; Ron Krivachek of Fort Atkinson; Alan Krivachek of Eagan, Minn.; James Krivacheck of Fort Atkinson; David Krivachek of West Union and Wayne Krivachek of Fort Atkinson.
Also surviving John Krivachek are seven grandchildren: Jesse Krivachek, Melissa, Melanie, and Maxwell Krivachek, and Elizabeth, Anthony and Krista Moellers; one sister, Evelyn and Ray Boyler of St. Lucas and one sister-in-law, Cyrilla Krivachek of Fort Atkinson, and several nieces and nephews.
John Joseph Krivachek was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Krivachek.
