Harley Josvanger
Harley C. "Hod" Josvanger, 72, of Davenport, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at the home of his daughter after a brief illness.
Memorial services were held Thursday, June 29, at 3 p.m., at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. The Rev. Joel Helsey of River Valley Community Church in Davenport officiated.
Musical selections included "What A Wonderful World."
Inurnment was at the Hesper Lutheran Cemetery in Hesper.
Harley was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Decorah. He married Shirley Ahl in 1953 in Lost Nation.
He taught for a brief time at the Locust School. Harley was self-employed as a real estate agent and owned and operated his own real estate agency in Davenport for many years. He retired in 1989.
Survivors include daughters Linda Doran and Lisa Russell, both of Rock Island, Illinois; sons Steven of Pleasant Valley and Kent of Natchez, Minn.;four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Gronewald of Aurora, Colo.
