Robert H. Ryan

Robert Ryan, 58, of Ridgeway, died Monday, May 7, 2001 at his home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12 at the Assumption Worship Center in Cresco with Rev. Henry Charipar officiating.

Burial was in the St. Agnes Cemetery, rural Cresco.

Lindstrom Funeral Home of Cresco was in charge of arrangements.

Robert H. Ryan was born August 13, 1942 to Gerald and Minnie (Broghammer) Ryan.

Other than serving in the Air Force, he lived his entire life on the farm where he was born. In recent years he raised sheep, was a great gardener and loved playing cards and games on his computer.

Surviving are his brothers and sisters, Anna Myers and Phil Ryan, both of Ridgeway; Thomas and Dean Ryan, both of Cresco, Joan and Leo McGavick of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; Paul Ryan of Rockford, Illinois, and Gerry and Lester Sorenson of Decorah.

Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, who served as casket bearers and honorary bearers.

Robert H. Ryan was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Henry, a brother, Norman, a sister Shirley, in infancy and his parents.
