Lloyd Headington
Lloyd A. Headington, 87, a resident of the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem, Wis., and formerly of LaCrosse, Wis., died at the health center Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m., at the Bethel Lutheran Church in LaCrosse, Wis., with the Rev. Judd Larson officiating.
Burial was at the Phelps Cemetery in Decorah. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of LaCrosse handled arrangements.
Lloyd was born in Canada Aug. 31, 1911, the son of Floyd and Julia (Dahl) Headington. He married Florence Arneson June 11, 1935.
Lloyd was the sales director for the state of Indiana for Cappers Publishing for many years until retiring in 1973. He and his wife moved to the LaCrosse, Wis. area 19 years ago from Lebanon, Ind.
Survivors include one daughter, Joanne and Wally Kenimer of La Crosse, Wis.; three grandchildren, Keenan, Kyle and wife Diane, and Katherine Kenimer; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Rod of Cedar Falls; three brothers, Wesley and June Headington of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Douglas and Jeannine Headington of Surprise, Ariz., and Curtis and Joan Headington of La Crosse, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd Headington was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, who died Dec. 22, 1998, and two brothers.
