Funeral services were held for Sophia Charlotte Livingood, 85, of Decorah, Tuesday, March 11, 1980, at 1:30 p.m. at the Frankville Church. The Rev. Roger Hawthorne officiated. Burial in Frankville Cemetery.
Mrs. Livingood was born May 3, 1894, in Ludlow township, Allamakee county, Iowa, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Hager. She received her education in the Ludlow Schools.
She married Earl Ronaldo Livingood November 28, 1912 in Ludlow. He died November 24, 1962. The couple lived in Frankville and Glenwood township and the Decorah area.
She died March 8, 1980 at the Aase Haugen home in Decorah, Iowa.
Two children, [Olga Krambeer and Ronaldo Earl Livingood], six brothers, [Henry, Fredrick, William, John, Edward and Elmer Hager]; three sisters, [Lydia Nolting, Ida Hager, Helen Henning] and 9 grandchildren preceded her in death.
Surviving includes two daughters, Gertrude Yarwood of Decorah and Mrs. Glen (Dorothy) Schave of Gundar, Iowa; a brother, Otto Hager of Castalia; a sister, Mrs. Melvin (Hattie) Ewing of Waterloo, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
Note: Sophia's parents were Henry August and Sophie Minnie (Grotegut) Hager.
