Limkemann, Magdalena (Feickert) -- 1890 - 1958

Funeral services were held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at the Schutte Funeral Home for Mrs. William Limkemann, Castalia, who died about noon Tuesday of last week. The rites were in charge of two sons, August and Paul Limkemann. Burial was in Pleasant View cemetery, Castalia.

Magdalena Limkemann was born April 3, 1890 in Odessa, Russia. At the age of three years, she came with her parents to the United States. On January 14, 1913 she was united in marriage to William Limkemann. To this union were born 12 children, two (Daniel and Bertha) of whom have preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, William of Castalia; seven sons and three daughters -- Gottlieb of Castalia, Henry of Ossian, John of Cedar Rapids, Paul of Birmingham, Michigan, Mrs. Eugene (Mary) Perry of West Union, Chaplain August Limkemann of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Mrs. Donald (Clara) Kohrs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Warren (Rosa) Barker of Ossian, Joseph of Cedar Falls, and David of Cedar Rapids; three brothers -- August and Gottlieb Feickert of Lancaster, California, and Bill Feickert of Pierre, South Dakota; one sister, Mary Geinger of Pierre; 35 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

One grandchild, Edna Lynn Limkemann, daughter of David Limkemann, also preceded her in death.
