Services for Daniel P. Kobriger, 68, were held Tuesday, July 29, 1980, at 10:30 a.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Curtis Webster officiated. Burial was in the Bloomfield Cemetery, Castalia.
Daniel Philip Kobriger, son of George and Elsie (McMartin) Kobriger, was born January 7, 1912 at Castalia. He died at Community Memorial Hospital in Postville, July 27, 1980.
He received his education at the school in Castalia and graduated from Postville High School in 1930. He worked in the Decorah and Castalia area and served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. For many years he had worked and made his home in Davenport, Iowa.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a brother, Donald; and two sisters, Mrs. Nels (Florence) Nelson and Mrs. Arnold (Mildred) Tieskotter.
Surviving are three sisters: Mrs. William (Julia) Wedo of Clermont; Mrs. Marjorie Hager of Castalia; and Mrs. Ione Hoopman of Branson, Mo.
He was a member of the Brotherly Love Lodge No. 204 A. F. and A. M. of Postville.
