Highlandville, Iowa -- Mrs. Arne Brunsvold, 78, died Wednesday at her home in Highland township following an illness of nine weeks.

Funeral arrangements are pending. Services will be held at the Big Canoe Lutheran church with the Rev. W.T. Hexom officiating, and burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.

The former Martha Christina Mikkelson was born December 25, 1872, in Pleasant township. In 1892 she was married to Arne Brunsvold, who died in 1942.

Surviving children are Mrs. Clarence Crosh or Crosby, North Dakota; Mrs. Victor Nordheim of Decorah, Iowa; and Henry Brunsvold on the home farm. She is also survived by her brother, Knut Mikkelson of Decorah.
