Henry Thompson

Services were held Monday, December 16, 1968 for Henry T. Thompson who passed away Thursday, December 12 at his home in Castalia, following a lingering illness. The Rev. Arthur J. Toto officiated at the services held at Castalia Zion Lutheran Church. Burial was at Gods Acre in Clermont.

Henry T. Thompson, son of Torstein and Kjersti Bjerke Thompson, was born February 9, 1894. He served military duty in World War I and was united in marriage to Anna M. Lubke at the Clermont Lutheran parsonage, on October 21, 1920.

He was baptized at the Marion Lutheran Church, confirmed at Marion church and a member of Castalia Zion Lutheran church.

He is survived by three children: Harley Thompson of Ossian; Mrs. Lavanda Richert of Mabel, Minnesota and Mrs. Clarion Gunderson of Clermont; one brother, Oscar Thompson of Clermont and eight sisters: Mrs. Caroline Olson of Phelps, Wisconsin; Mrs. Trena Berg of Gilman, Wisconsin; Julia Haug of Elkader; Mrs. Mollie Mork and Mrs. Clara Christianson of Elgin; Mrs. Alma Christianson, Mrs. Tillie Frautchey and Mrs. Betsy Paulson of Clermont and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Albert and a sister, Mrs. Anna Simpson.
