Calmar - Robert "Jim" Hoffert, 57, of Calmar, (IA) died of a heart attack, Monday, April 26, at his home.

Funeral sevices will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar with the Rev. Richard Speight officiating. Burial will be at Calmar City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at French Funeral Home in Calmar and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Emily, of Calmar; four sons, Chris of Monona, Eric of Fairbamds, Ala., Jamie of Brooklyn and Steve of Calmar: six grandchildren; two brothers, Carl of Newton and Rollin of Cedar Falls; and three sisters, Helen owens of Newton and Arlene Johnson and Sandra Saner, both of Grinnell.

Mr. Hoffert was a retired Iowa State Trooper who served at Post 10 for 30 years.
