BLAKE ALBRIGHT INTERRED AT CASTALIA SATURDAY

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the E. U. B. Church in Castalia for Blake L. Albright, 50, who passed away Wednesday, September 28, 1955, following a heart attack. The Rev. Byron Surface was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Albright was a Castalia business man for 27 years and had served in many capacities in the progress of the community.

Blake L. Albright was born August 12, 1905 on a farm near Castalia and departed this life Wednesday, September 28, at 5:45 p.m., at the age of 50 years, one month and 16 days. He was the son of Clemmie McMullen and Charles H. Albright.

He attended rural school and high school in Castalia, then graduated with the Postville class of 1924, after which he taught in a rural school for two years.

On June 6, 1928 he was united in marriage to Florence Pufahl of Rossville and to this union two daughter were born -- Patty (Mrs. Merlin Koenig) of near Castalia, and Pamela at home.

His entire life, with the exception of a few years employment at Waterloo and Rossville, had been spent in Winneshiek county.

He had been in business in Castalia for the past 27 years and was much interested in the progress and welfare of the community.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and three grandchildren, his mother, father and two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Masonic Order, Modern Woodmen of American and had served on the Castalia school board for many years. Over the years he had taken part in the various activities of the community.
