VOLDENG

Mrs. Anne Mathea Voldeng, one of the Norwegian pioneers of 1853, passed away last Thursday at the home of her son, C.N. Voldeng. Deceased was born in Toten, Norway, June 11, 1822, came to America with her husband and family in 1853, and after a short residence at Yorkville, Wis., came to Winnishiek county and settled on the homestead four miles east of Decorah where she resided until about fifteen years ago when she came to Decorah to make her home. Her husband died about twelve years ago.
