At the M. E. parsonage in Decorah on Wednesday, April 18, took place the marriage of Miss Maude Van Wey to Daniel Peck, both of this place. Rev. Lackland performed the ceremony. The groom is one of our prosperous farmers well liked by all who know him, while the bride, who is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Van Wey, enjoys a wide acquaintance, having been a successful teacher in the schools in Winneshiek and Allamakee counties for a number of years. The happy couple left on the afternoon train for a wedding trip to Fredericksburg, returning Saturday. They will make their home on the farm with the groom’s mother until a house can be erected on their own farm. A large circle of friends join in wishing them a long and prosperous life.
