HYMENEAL.
With the very best intentions, and, we may add, with the consent of near and dear relatives, two young men invaded Decorah homes on Tuesday and took therefrom two of Decorah’s most dependable daughters. It wasn’t because these young men saw these daughters first, but because they recognized in them qualities that they felt sure would contribute toward happiness, contentment and all the other good things that make the journey on the sea of matrimony the best journey on which high minded, right living young people can embark.

The marriage of Miss Gladys Adele Holton and Mr. Oscar Helgerson occurred in the afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents, Rev. O. E. Schmidt, brother-in-law of the groom, officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Helgerson also departed by auto for Calmar from which point they took the train for the west. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Holton. Her home education has been supplemented by studies at St. Olaf College and a course in domestic science at Milwaukee Downer College from which she graduated two years ago. Last year she was one of the special teachers in the New Hampton schools. She brings to the union qualities of mind and heart for which she is cheristed{sic} by many acquaintances. The groom is a brother of Mrs. O. E. Schmidt. For some time he has been engaged in the banking business at Miles City, Mont., and holds a position of responsibility which reflects the confidence that is reposed in him.
