MARRIED.
St. Agnes church, Plymouth Rock, Ia., was the scene of a pretty wedding Tuesday morning when Miss Loretta Mullaney, daughter of Mrs. William Mullaney, became the bride of Mr. Anthony McCabe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCabe. A small group of relatives and intimate friends witnessed the ceremony which was solemnized by Rev. A. N. Tibeau.
Miss Anastasia McCabe, a cousin of the bride was maid of honor. She was dressed in blue serge and black furs. Leo McCabe, of Dubuque College was his brother’s best man. The bride was attired in a suit of blue serge and wore a picture hat of taupe satin and straw, she carried a white prayer book.
A quartet composed of Mrs. Leo Gossman, Mrs. Jesse Kimball, Miss Catherine Whalen and Conrad Ryan sang the nuptial mass. Mrs. Leo Gossman played Mendelsshon’s wedding march as the processional and the “Bridal Chorus” from Lohengrin as recessional march. Miss Catherine Whalen sang Gounads “Ave Marie.”
Mr. and Mrs. McCabe will be at home on their farm after March 15th. Mr. McCabe is a prosperous young farmer, having received his early education at Dubuque college.
Mrs. McCabe, who graduated at St. Teresa’s College, Winona, has been one of Winneshiek county’s best teachers, and they have our best wishes for a prosperous and happy future.
