Wednesday, Oct 21st, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. K. Ferris at Church, took place the marriage of their daughter Miss Ruth to Francis Padden of Frankville. The bride, who for several years has been a teacher in the schools of Allamakee county, is a very amiable young lady, while the groom is one of our industrious young men. They arrived here Sunday and will begin housekeeping in the Paul Topel house which was recently purchased by the groom’s father and will be at home to their friends after Nov. 1st. We join with a host of friends in wishing them a long and happy life.
