HYMENEAL.
On Sunday evening, Sept. 6th, at the home of the bride’s father, Miss Alberta Haugen, second daughter of Mr. K. I. Haugen, and Paul A. Preus, fourth son of Prof. and Mrs. C. K. Preus, were united in marriage, the ceremony being performed by the groom’s father. The bride was attended by Miss Henrietta Preus, and the groom by his brother, J. A. O. Preus, and there were present from out of town, Mrs. J. C. K. Preus of Beloit, Wis., Mrs. Alert H. Koren, Miss Kala Erickson and Nils Fosen of Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. O. Preus of St. Paul.
The groom is one of Decorah’s young men for whom only the highest esteem is entertained. Since completing his course at Luther College he has been engaged in banking, and he takes his bride to Champlin, Minn., where he is cashier of the First State Bank. Mrs. Preus has grown to young womanhood in Decorah, and by traits that betoken true worth has won many friends who join in a wealth of best wishes.
Mr. and Mrs. Preus departed Monday morning on their honeymoon. After a week spent in the north Mrs. Preus will return for a month’s stay before taking up her home permanently at Champlin.
