On Tuesday last Aug. 25, 1914, at 11 o’clock at the A C church occurred the marriage of Mr. Rosco Wicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wicks, to Miss Olive Manning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Manning. Rev. Clark performed the ceremony and Rev. Moore delivered the closing prayer. The church was very prettily decorated with goldenrod, and an arch covered with white and yellow crepe paper under which the young couple stood attended by Mr. Philip Seelye, who acted as best man, and Miss Florence Reed as bridesmaid. The bride was dressed in a cream white dress of nun’s veiling and carried a bouquet of white carnations, and the groom was attired in navy blue. After the ceremony the wedding party went to the bride’s home where dinner was served to only the nearest relatives. After dinner the young couple left for La Crosse mid a shower of rice and good wishes.
