A great mobilization of forces consisting of elder and younger people armed to the teeth with salads, pickles and several kinds of cake, of various sizes, colors, tastes, etc. assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Aegerter last Sunday afternoon to run things to suit their fancy, it being the 25th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. A.’s wedded life. It was no use to employ drastic measures to disperse the motl{e}y crowd, who had come to stay until ready to leave of their own accord, so the afternoon was passed in a very social manner until the day was waning, when lunch was announced to which all did ample justice, after which Rev. L. N. Day in behalf of the people made an appropriate address, calling forth the why and wherefore of all this trouble and presenting their host and hostess with many pieces of handsome silverware after which all quietly left for their homes.
