Askelson, 50th Wedding Anniversary 1913

Last Saturday, it being fifty years since Mr. and Mrs. Nels Askelson were united in marriage, a large crowd gathered and arrived quite unannounced, and took charge of the house for the time being. Rev. Felgenbaum was also present and made a felicitous speech to remind them of their golden anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Askelson were presented with a nice sum of money in gold as a remembrance. All brought well filled baskets and a tempting luncheon was served to which all did enjoy. It was a beautiful day and the time was pleasantly spent reviewing past sociabilities. Towards evening the crow dispersed, giving their best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Askelson.
