Last Wednesday evening at eight o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents Mr. and Mrs. I. G. Burton of Kendallville, occurred the marriage of their daughter Nellie to Elmo Stephenson of Spencer, Iowa, Rev. Luce officiating. Only the relatives and a few friends were present to witness the ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister, Mattie Burton, Walter Daskam, cousin of the groom, acting as best man. Most hearty congratulations were showered upon the young couple. They received many beautiful presents, both useful and ornamental, such as go to make up a pleasant home. Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson left Friday morning for Spencer, Iowa, where Mr. Stephenson works for the Wells Fargo Express Co., and where they intend to make their future home. May the choicest of this world’s blessings attend them in their wedded life is the wish of their many Kendallville friends.
