Married Twenty-Five Years.
In a quiet but very happy manner Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bear are celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage to-day. It was on July 15, 1884, that they joined hearts and fortunes and Mr. Bear brought his bride to Decorah to enjoy with him the friendship and esteem that had been extended by the host of acquaintances which he had formed during the eight previous years. It is true that the years have brought some sorrows but they are not to be compared with the joy and happiness and prosperity that has been their portion. In their celebration they are joined by their daughters, Mrs. Benjamin and Mrs. Heller and their husbands, and their son Alex., who came from Chicago yesterday and as if to make the family gathering more enjoyable Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vogel came this morning from New York bearing their own as well as the congratulations and good wishes of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Vogel is a niece of Mr. Bear, a daughter of the late Samuel Bear and wife.
