Word comes from Tacoma of the marriage on Tuesday of last week of Miss Alice Burt, only daughter of Mrs. Mary A. Burt, to Mr. Arnott Woodroofe. The announcement will be a surprise to all save a very few of the bride’s most intimate friends. Miss Burt grew to young womanhood in Decorah and in her studies as a pupil in the Decorah High School demonstrated the qualities that later gained her recognition as a teacher of more than ordinary efficiency. The gentleman whom she has chosen to honor is an architect, and we feel sure that he must have been worthy to have won his fair bride.
