Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Chandler returned last Thursday from Chicago where they were in attendance at the marriage of their sister, Miss Alta Chandler.

A September Wedding.

On Wednesday, September 2d, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Fisher, 6023 Rhodes avenue, was the scene of a happy event, when Mrs. Fisher’s charming sister, Miss Alta Mae Chandler became the bride of Clifford Leroy Boughton.
At 8 o’clock the bride’s little nephew Frank Fisher, struck the first chords of Lohengrin wedding march and to its sweet music the bridal party took its place beneath the wedding bell which was suspended from a beautiful pine-covered arch decorated with white asters and banked by ferns. White asters and ferns were tastefully arranged throughout the house.
The bride wore a gown of soft white mull, lace trimmed, and about her throat the groom’s gift, a necklace set with pears and her birthstone, and carried a bouquet of bride’s roses. Her maid of honor, Miss Helen Boughton, wore pink and white, and carried maid’s roses. The groom was attended by his brother, C. Herbert E. Boughton.
When the solemn vows had been said and friends were moving forward to offer their congratulations the bride was surprised by a shower of yellow pansies which rained down upon her from the wedding bell and the merriment thus started characterized the rest of the evening. Although the company was a small one, consisting almost entirely of near relatives, the departing couple were given a gay farewell.
The list of gifts includes many useful and beautiful things.
Mr. and Mrs. Boughton will be at home after October 15th at 7224 Vernon avenue.
