Mr. Eli Gardner and Mrs. Phoebe Fox, both of McGregor, were married last week Tuesday. They are now with Mrs. Gardner’s daughter, Mrs. T. C. Doud. Monday night our younger population resolved themselves into three parties, who serenaded and charivaried{sic} alternately. Each party was handsomely remunerated by the groom. The serenading party took their surplus hired a term and in a hay rack they (fourteen in all) took a moonlight drive to Postville, arriving in the early hours of the morning happy but hoarse.
