JUNE WEDDINGS.
Three Events of Which Republican Readers Will be Interested to Learn.
At Starbuck, Minn., on Tuesday, occurred the marriage of Miss Magdalena Forde, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. N. Forde, to Rev. Ove J. H. Preus, of Tacoma, Wash., oldest son of Prof. and Mrs. C. K. Preus of Decorah. There is something more than a union of hearts in this wedding. In addition to a home environment that has fitted them for a life of religious work, both are of a musical temperament, their fathers were classmates in all that term implies, graduated together at Luther College, entered the ministry together, and have ever since maintained a degree of friendship that has drawn them and their families closer and closer toward one another. Rev. and Mrs. Preus will begin their life-journey together with the best wishes of a host of friends for both are deservedly popular.
