A Springfield Wedding.
[Calmar Courier]
Wednesday, March 25, 1908, a happy event took place in Springfield township, the marriage of Miss Anna Holverson and Mr. Anton Hogenson, the ceremony being performed in the Washington Prairie church. The groom is a prosperous farmer living northeast of Calmar about three miles, and we would have put him down as a splendid catch for any young lady. We have always held a very high opinion of Anton and his conduct in this matter has not changed our opinion of him, but we have often thought it strange that he had not taken a partner before, and it rather strikes us that leap year may have had something to do with it However, be that as it may, the bride evidently knows a good thing. While we have not the pleasure of the bride’s acquaintance, she is of a good family and we hear nothing but good about her and she showed her good judgment in her choice. May the worthy couple live long and happily together and prosper.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the groom’s name was spelled Hogenson and the bride’s maiden name was Halvorson.
