Married Fifty-Seven Years.
On Thursday last at their home in Canoe township, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Puntney celebrated their fifty-seventh wedding anniversary. The family record of Mr. and Mrs. Puntney is a remarkable one. They have seven children, all living, and there has never been a death of a child or grandchild in their family in all these fifty-seven years. Possibly no greater blessing could have been allotted to them. Fifty-three of these fifty-seven years have been spent on their farm in Canoe and prosperity has attended them. Both are approaching their seventy-ninth birthday, and while they confess that they feel their age somewhat, they are possessed with thankfulness for their many years of activity and usefulness and the courage to look forward with expectation to years of comfort yet to come.
