Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Hopperstad celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage last Friday, Their children who are absent from home—Roy at Mitchell and Miss Beatrice and Everett at Northfield—carried out a very happy surprise by coming to spend the day with them, remaining over until Monday. They were accompanied by A. H. Helsea and Misses Helen Nyhus and Selma Bjornstad students at St. Olaf. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Hopperstad were still further surprise when a company of about forty friends, took possession of their home and before leaving presented them with a handsome silver candlebrum{sic} and a set of silver spoons.
