Married To-night.
This evening at eight o’clock, at the home of the bride’s parents, Rev. M. Willett, D. D., officiating will occur the marriage of Miss Ethel Day Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Baker, to Mr. William Thomas Waterman of Davenport. The bride will be attended by her sister Miss Alice Pamelia Baker as maid of honor and Misses Helen Waterman of Davenport and Ruth Montgomery as bridesmaids. The groom will be attended by Mr. J. C. Hall of Davenport. The ceremony will be witnessed by a large company of relatives and invited guests, and Mr. and Mrs. Waterman will depart on the midnight train for their wedding journey. They will be at home at Davenport after December 1st.
That this may prove the beginning of a very happy wedded life is the sincere wish of a host of friends of both Mr. and Mrs. Waterman. The bride is a young woman of rare attainment as a musician and is endowed with social charms and a sunny disposition that has drawn to her many sincere admirers. The groom is one of the prominent attorneys of Davenport and a young man of high standing socially as well as in his profession. He is a member of one of the well known families of Iowa and in taking his bride away from Decorah he may be assured of the congratulations and good wishes of her friends. In the company who will witness the ceremony there will be a number of out of town guests, among them Jude and Mrs. C. M. Waterman, Miss Waterman and Dana Waterman, parents, sister and brother of the groom, Messrs. J. C. Hall and Julies Ficke, all of Davenport, Miss Phoebe Robins, Toulon, Ill., Mr. C. H. Player, Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Davis, and Mrs. Stephen Davis of Monona, Mr. Fred Davis of Chicago, Messrs. G. R. and R. G. Baker and wives of Ridgeway.
