Married Last Evening.
Last evening at 5 o’clock at the United Lutheran church occurred the marriage of Miss Laura, third daughter of Rev. And Mrs. J. O. Hougen, and Dr. H. C. Hanson of Chicago, the bride’s father officiating. The bride was attended by Miss Kathleen Johnson of Calamus, Iowa, Miss Alma Hanson of Manitowoc, Miss Ella Wilson of Austin, and the bride’s sister, Miss Clara Hougen, and Miss Emma Christian both of Decorah. The groom was attended by his brother Mr. Thomas Hanson of Chicago. After the ceremony a reception in which a few immediate friends and relatives participated, was held at the parsonage, and Dr. and Mrs. Hanson departed on the 8:45 train for their home in Chicago. Miss Laura has grown to womanhood in Decorah, and by her sunny disposition and personal worth has drawn to her a large circle of friends who wish her a life of happiness in the union she has contracted. Dr. Hanson is engaged in the practice of medicine, a profession which has in it a possibility of great benefit and personal success, and is to be congratulated upon the bride he has won.
