GODDARD—AYERS.
On Tuesday next at Bowie, Texas, will occur the marriage of Mr. Herbert Goddard, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Goddard of this city, to Miss Mary Ayers. This is news which will come as a pleasant surprise to many here in the groom’s boyhood home. The acquaintance which results in this event has been formed since Mr. Goddard went to Texas as the representative of Marshall Field & Co. and while no one here enjoyed the acquaintance of the bride the groom’s friends will be glad to extend to her a cordial welcome and hearty congratulations when she comes to Decorah in July with her husband for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Goddard will make their home in Fort Worth.
