Married Last Evening
Last evening at the home of the bride’s mother in the first ward, Miss Emma O. Schrubbe, second daughter of Mrs. Carl Schrubbe, and Joseph Madison Lower were united in marriage. Rev. H. W. Schneider of the German M. E. church officiating. The ceremony, which was witnessed by a small company of relatives and invited guests, was performed at eight o’clock and was followed by a delightful wedding supper. Miss Schrubbe has been a resident of Decorah all her life and is one of our most estimable young ladies. The groom formerly resided in Frankville township, and is a member of one of the oldest families of the county. He has prepared a home for his bride on Winneshiek Avenue where he has built a new residence in which they will commence housekeeping at once. The best wishes of their many friends are extended.
