Married
Yesterday morning, January 14, 1916, at St. Benedict’s Catholic church in this city, occurred the marriage of May Beatrice Carolan to John A. Cronin, Rev. Father Hawe performed the ceremony. The you{n}g couple were attended by the bride’s sister, Miss Bessie Carolan, and by the groom’s cousin, John Tierney, of Lawler. After a honeymoon trip to Dubuque, they will make their future home on the groom's farm near Lawler.
The bride is the daughter of Phil Carolan, of Bluffton, and is a young woman of charm. For some time past, she has been engaged in teaching school. Mr. Cronin was raised near Lawler, but his frequent visits here have acquainted him with a number of people in this vicinity, all of whom hold him in high esteem.—Decorah Journal.
