Married a Preston Lady.
Prof. O. S. Boice, until this year principal of the Calmar schools, sprung a little surprise on his friends, Tuesday of last week, by taking unto himself a wife. The lady was Miss Orra Dayton, of Preston, Minn. Mr. Boice was left an orphan when a child and it was in the family of Miss Dayton’s parents that he was brought up. They were children together and it is not unnatural that the ties of early life have ripened into a stronger bond. Mr. and Mrs. Boice were in Decorah last Thursday, and from the Prof., we learn that he intends to carry out an intention, formed before he went into school work, to study law. He and his family go to Ann Arbor this week where he will enter upon a law course in the University of Michigan. The REPUBLICAN extends congratulations.
